Malta – the ideal destination for a romantic religious ceremony! There are some 365 churches in Malta and our experienced wedding planners can guide you through the planning for your traditional church ceremony. Malta is predominantly a Roman Catholic country but couples from other denominations regularly hold weddings in churches of their own religion here in Malta. From the lavish Baroque-style cathedrals in Mdina and Valletta to the village chapels in the countryside our team can help you find the right church for your wedding. If you intend to have a church marriage in Malta, you will need to visit your local Parish Priest who will need to help you with some of the required paperwork. Church paperwork tends to take some time to complete, so we recommend you start at least 6 months before your chosen date. Our wedding team will provide you with the marriage forms which will need to be completed and returned to us, alongside any additional documents at least eight weeks before you wedding. On arrival in Malta, our church wedding package includes transport to the church marriage office. Here you collect the documents that you give to the priest officiating your wedding.
