Veil is a nice accessory to any dress. It can complete the dress, but it does not necessary to be. Veil can add just a romantic finishing touch.
Let’ start with the history of wedding veil. In ancient times veil hid a bride away from evil. Also veil was a symbol of an untouched and modest maiden. Later veil was an item for hiding bride’s face from the groom. Queen Victoria was the first modern monarch who was married in a veil. After her wedding veil became extremely popular.
     Simple veil lifehacks:
    1. Consider your updo. Long flowing curls can have different placement of veil than a chignon. In the first case veil can add volume, just to pin it on the crown of your head. If you have a bun, pin your veil below it to demonstrate your hairstyle.
    2. Length of veil may vary from birdcage veil (4-9 inches) to a cathedral veil (108-120 inches). Remember that short veil look fun and fresh, long ones are more elegant and dramatic.
    3. If you wish to wear a veil over the front of your face, use a shorter piece of it - the blusher. It looks very romantic when bride is walking down the aisle. Most brides don’t wear it nowadays, but if you like more traditional look – do it!

   4. Who should lift the veil at the ceremony? It’s always up to bride and groom and their wishes about wedding ceremony. But most common that father of the bride lifts it when bride comes to her future husband. It’s a very nice and touching moment.
But sometimes bride has a veil over her face till the moment of “kiss”. At that time groom lifts the veil.
There are a couple of options for this, and ultimately it’s up to each bride and groom how they want their ceremony to go.
    5. There are many alternatives to wedding veil. Modern brides have traded veils bright hair accessories, tiaras or flower crowns. It depends on a style and overall vibe of the wedding.
