Casa Fuerte San Gregorio
Casa Fuerte San Gregorio is a medieval Stronghold founded in Soria, next to Almarza, formed of a gothic Main House attached to a Church and a Cloister, both from the Renaissance period.
It's origins can be found in a document dates on the 29th of july of 1461 at Medina del Campo, where Diego de Medrano asked permission to king Enrique to build it. In the XVI century, it was transformed into a Dominique convent.
It is composed of a solid square House with a central green courtyard defended by a fortified wall with hoardings, murder holes and round towers in three different points of the wall. These towers not only have ballistic pieces from the XV century, but still maintain gargoyles sculptured in stone. On top of the main Gate it can be found the Shield of the Medrano family.
