Venue description

Hotel Castillo De Santa Catalina ****

This fortress was originally built in 1624 by King Phillip IV as part of the widespread defences of the city of Malaga. By early 20th Century, the fortress had fallen into ruins and, Manuel Loring, Count of Mieres, decided to have his residence built adjacent to it. The French architects Levard and Lahalle, constructed a neo-Arabian style palace which stood majestically in a spectacular position overlooking the bay of Malaga and was called Castillo de Santa Catalina Nowadays, Castillo Santa Catalina has been converted into a Historic Hotel (B.I.C), maintaining the luxury and standing of a stately palace, surrounded by gardens and with splendid sea views.

Located in the heart of Malaga, Castillo de Santa Catalina has more than 3,500 square meters of venues, meeting rooms, gardens and terraces, ideal for organizing dreamy wedding. Situated in El Limonar, the most exclusive residential area of the city, the hotel’s location is privileged, distant only a few minutes from the city centre and from the Picasso Museum, the harbour, the sea front drive, La Caleta beach, as well as from the new High Speed Railway (AVE) station.
