When it comes to getting hitched, most bride and grooms have a budget to work to. But for the mega rich, money is nothing.
The average wedding in Australia costs around $65,000 (£32,000) which, if you ask us, is a still a total wedge. But according to former wedding planner and editor of Wedded Wonderland, Wendy Daoud El-Khoury, that’s nothing compared to the opulence she’s seen. We’re talking multiple couture bridal gowns, seven-tiered wedding cake, floor to ceiling walls made entirely from orchids, 1000 guest reception and a cool $1 million budget for the flowers.
Ali and Lana (pictured above) tied the knot at the bride’s parents’ house in the South of Lebanon. ‘Adorned from top to bottom with real, white orchids on all four walls, LED lights and plasma screens, the reception was transformed into a romantic fairy-tale for their 1,060 guests’ Wendy told Daily Mail Australia.
